Description
English: An incomplete cast copper-alloy Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch, dating to the 6th century.

The brooch has a rectangular headplate divided into three smaller rectangular panels. At teh centre of the three sides of the brooch is a flat slightly rounded knop wth a raised collar. These knops are concave at the reverse. The bow is arched. The brooch is broken at 10mm, meaning that approximately 50% of the bow and the catchplate are missing. A vertical attachement to hold a hinged pin is fixed onto the centre of the reverse of the central plate.
