English: U.S. Airmen with the 156th Airlift Squadron, and 145th Operations Support Squadron (OSS), North Carolina Air National Guard demonstrate parachute quick release drills during an annual Water Survival Refresher Course at Camp John J. Barnhardt in New London, NC, Sept. 9, 2016. U.S. The purpose of the drill is to simulate how a person in the water would detach from a parachute in high wind situations.
