Description
English: A complete Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age flint side-end scraper (c. 2800 BC-c. 1500 BC). Butler 2005: 116-117, fig. 70.

This scraper is roughly oval in plan. The dorsal face has two major flake removals and has been worked along the sides and at the distal end. The side removals are semi-abrupt, short and scaled and the end is abrupt, short and parallel. The ventral face has a bulb of percussion and a percussion scar with associated ripples.

This tool is in good condition and is generally dark grey, almost black and has a fossilised feature on the dorsal face.

Length: 61.60mm; width: 41.44mm; thickness: 13.51mm. Weight: 38.47g.
