Depressing theswollen part with one hand, as if to detach it from the ring, thesurgeon surrounds it with adhesive strips of the width of the thumb,so that all the parts of the tumor may be covered or enveloped asby a sac, the opening or apex of which should be arranged withcare around the root of the cord, (Fig. 109.)
