where Governor Gambler gave her manypresents and sent her back to the tribe, hoping toconciliate them, but there is no evidence that she everreached them, and the belief is, that Cull killed her tosecure the gifts. Governor Holloway, in 1808, had alarge picture painted, showing whites and reds in friendlyattitudes, and sent it to Exploits by Lieut.
