Text Appearing Before Image:
\ PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION BASKET BALL. ) 23 Plate No. 14. Illustrates a false conception of the block. The player with the ball is trying to get away, and while it would be good team work on thepart of his team mate to interpose himself be-tween the man with the ball and his opponent, yetby using his elbow and hip he does not use alegitimate block, but is guilty of a palpable foul.
Text Appearing After Image:
PLATE NO. 15. PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION BASKET BALL. Plate No. 15. Another mistaken idea of blocking. Theplayer with the ball is under the goal just aboutto shoot. It would be good team work on thepart of the team mate to get in the way of theopponent who is rushing up to stop the goal, buthe makes the mistake of charging at him, andconsequently spoils a good play by committinga foul.
