aimingat the same thing, improvement of the youth, physically, men-tally and morally. The schools concerned now elect two representatives eachto the I. S. A. A. annually from among the teachers, andthis body is taking over the control of the schools athleticactivities and giving them, instead of the old uncertain testsarranged by irresponsible students, regularly scheduled con-tests planned months ahead and carried out with certainty. During the past season teams were brought from New Yorkand Baltimore and all expenses paid according to contract.When the particular game failed to produce enough revenueto meet its expenses the reserve fund was always sufficient tocover the deficit. Thus, neither inclement weather nor meagreattendance has been a sufficient drawback to prevent the playingof a scheduled event at the appointed time. The result of thisfeature alone should be enough to demonstrate the superiorvalue of concerted action over individual relationships betweenthe several schools.
