Description: This is the ligne de Belgique at Appilly near Noyon in the Oise country. The Oise River has flooded. Serious flooding in January 1910 in the Parisian basin necessitated a detour for the Calais-Mediterranean express. The locomotive is a small 4-6-0, four-cylinder compound, 1897-1913, unsuperheated No. 3303. This type of locomotive was often used on freight trains. Source: Collyns, Adrian H.
