She was married, in 1455, to EdmundTudor, Earl of Richmond, but in the followingyear was left a widow, with one son (afterwardsHenry VII.). She next became the wife of SirHenry Stafford, who died in 1481 ; and in thefollowing year she married Thomas Lord Stanley.In 1505 she founded Christ College, Cambridge,and she died in 1509. St. Johns College, Cam-bridge, was founded in pursuance with her will. that she was the first wife of Sir Robert Walpole,afterwards Earl of Orford, and that Horace, heryoungest son, consecrated this monument, as wehave said above.
