English: On September 11, 2001, within minutes after an apparent hijacked jet crashed into the south side of the Pentagon, Bolling Air Force Base emergency personal were in action, and in what quickly turned out to be a terrorist attack on the United States, locked down the base gates. All civilian autos owned by residents, military members, federal and contract employees at Bolling AFB ended up in gridlock as they attempted to exit Bolling through the Naval gate at the baseÕs north end. |
