In designing this house it was thedesire to keep down the cost as muchas possible, and still maintain a feelingof solidity, interior roominess and com-fort in the finished building. By adopt-ing the square type and following simplelines this splendid result was obtained. The general dimensions of this houseare 26 by 31 feet. It is two full storiesin height, and is placed over a cementedbasement. Plans show six well arrangedrooms. The large living room is a fea-ture of the first floor. It is decoratedwith a beamed ceiling, brick fire place,and built-in book case and chimney cor-ner seat. Double sliding doors separate the liv-ing room and the dining room. This dining room is a very well lighted apart-ment, having an attractive built-in buffet.The kitchen is conveniently placed alongside of the dining room and has built-in II cabinet, cupboard, and ice box arrangedfor outside icing. On the second floorare three large bedrooms, each ar-ranged with cross ventilation.
