Then those teamsproved successful, even, it must be con-fessed, a great many times against theprofessional coach system, but when itcame to a branch where it was impos-sible to get one of these available gradu-ates for a steady period of time, mattersbegan to take on another aspect. There has been more or less of a com-ing together on both sides. There is adistinct demand now for the paid collegecoach—that is, a man who is an in-structor, who has had experience andwho is willing to devote all his time tothe particular branch, coming backeither to his own university or going toanother one on a fixed salary.
