It seems to be quite the custom in Brit-tany to attend divine service first and thenbarter for such goods as may be neededafter the religious services are finished.

When we left Vannes we went by themost direct road to Auray, about a halfhours run, and there turned southwesttoward Carnac down by the coast which wereached about an hour after leavingVannes.
