>luca, Mexico. The crater lake from the ridge of the Nevado de Toluca, or Xinantecatl. Thelake (Laguna Grande) is 14,010 feet above sea level and is one of the highest permanent bodiesof water in the world. It is not deep, only 33 feet. There are two lakes in the crater. Thisis the larger.
