Fresh off of a 14-month Global Response Force rotation, the Division’s 2nd Brigade Combat Team led the outload support, facilitating a no-notice deployment of more than 600 1st BCT paratroopers alerted for a joint forcible entry operation to seize an airfield the next morning at Fort Hood, Texas.
