Title
PAS 1006 Egyptian mummy probably a toy dating from 1850 - 1950.
Description
English: A lead alloy figurine of what looks to be an Egyptian mummy, probably a toy dating from 1850 - 1950. The head is rounded but none of the features are visible. The body is an elongated tear drop shape and tapers to a point which has broken off post recovery, but which has not been lost. The body is decorated with six circumferential lines round the legs and feet. It has a length of 43.27mm, width 10.16mm, thickness 5.48mm, weight 12.70g. The most well known lead figurine toys are of course toy soldiers, but many other models were also available, including Ancient Egyptian sets. Another possibly Egyptian toy on the PAS database is HAMP-8AA711.
