Panoramic view of Avalon Harbor, showing crowds walking along the harbor, Santa Catalina Island, 1905
Photograph of a panoramic view of Avalon Harbor, showing crowds walking along the harbor, Santa Catalina Island, 1905. A steamer is docked at the pier. Dozens of other smaller boats dot the harbor. A large house is visible in the foreground on a hillside slope. Steep slopes rise around the town of Avalon. Long wooden piles litter the beach at left. Throngs of people crowd the waterfront along the edge of the city. Large buildings can be seen along the base of the mountain range in the background at center. Additional parts of the city can be seen at left.
