Description
English: Col. Timothy McGuire, commander of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad, and Command Sgt. Maj. King O. Parks, senior enlisted leader for the 3rd BCT, 82nd Abn. Div., pay their respects to Pfc. Ricky L. Turner during a memorial ceremony, Jan. 22, at Forward Operating Base Loyalty. Turner served as a combat engineer for Company A, Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 3rd BCT, 82nd Abn. Div. He was killed when an improvised explosive device struck his vehicle during a combat patrol, Jan. 16, in Baghdad. Turner, a native of Athens, Ala., is survived by his wife Nyoka, stepdaughter, Arissa, mother Regina Turner, and father James Turner.
