English: 150610-N-WC566-149 PEARL HARBOR (June 10, 2015) The family members of Pearl Harbor survivor retired U.S. Navy Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Michael Elkovics lower his ashes into the water during ash-scattering ceremony at the USS Utah Memorial on Ford Island, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. Elkovics was stationed aboard the cruiser USS St. Louis (CL-49) during the 1941 Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor. His ashes joined the remains of Sailors still aboard USS Utah, which was sunk during the 1941 attack. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Gabrielle Joyner/Released)
