extremities, covering almost completely the inner portions ofboth thighs, the ankles, and more especially the calves of bothlegs. The spots were very irregular in outline, in some placesconfluent, resembling more particularly the eruption of morbilli. The child was put to bed, the joints were renderedimmobile by applying woolen roller bandages over them, and PEDIATRICS. locally over each joint some salicylic collodion, 10 per cent.,was applied with a camels hair brush. The main point in the treatment which I laid stress uponwas to have absolute rest, and it was for this reason that I putthe child to bed, that I painted salicylic collodion, andthat I put a roller (flannel) bandage on the legs and coveredboth limbs from the toes to the hip joint. InternallyI gave ergotine, y50 grain every four hours, besides 15drops of tinct. ferri acet. seth. in water after each meal, threetimes a day. The spots gradually changed from a deepbluish color to a brown; then after ten days to a light yellow
