If the second phalange of Saturn is excessively longit shows inherited ability for an easy interpretation ofthe most profound studies. If thin and short, insufficient will power to success-fully study abstract studies. If the second phalange of Apollo be long and stout itsignifies a great appreciation for the beautiful in na-ture and in art. Also a love for success and riches. If it is the opposite (short and thin) it denotes a decid-ed lack of ability to appreciate the beautiful, or to carefor success or wealth. If the second phalange of Mercury is long and stoutit indicates great industry. Such a person shows anaptitude for intellectual and physical labors, andtakes as much delight in accomplishing one as well asthe other.

Thecharacteristics expressed by the third phalange, whileof a materialistic quality, naturally they are modifiedaccording to what is signified by the finger on which itis found.
