THE PORTABLE HOUSE EXHIBIT AT THE SPORTSMANS SHOW, MADISON SQUARE GARDEN point, and day by day add to your hap-piness, health and strength through theinfluence of the outdoor life you are ableto lead through the use of your portabledwelling. Thanks to our climate and the whole-some instincts of a large proportion ofour population, camping-out in thesummer time is not only possible, butis greatly favored by the city residentor the householder in general. The free-dom from the cares which lie in wait drawbacks were, for the most part, thosewhich had to do with the shelter andsleeping accommodations of a camp. The portable house is just that whichits name suggests. If is really and trulya house in miniature. Six to ten hourswork, depending on the size of house,on the part of unskilled labor suf-fices to erect a dainty and inviting lit-tle domicile which can bid defiance, ex-ternally and internally, to any sort ofweather during any time of the year. A PORTABLE DWELLING IN A SHADY NOOK All this by reason of the simplicity ofthe instructions for assembling the houseand the manner in which each part andpiece of it is lettered and numbered. The location of a portable house, asin the instance of a tent, depends onthe fancy of the owner. By reason ofits snug coziness, it is a home in spiteof its wild surroundings. Its roomsare not large, but they are free fromthe sensation of cramp and confinementfrequently associated with the ordinarydwelling. The portable house has very frequent-ly proven its value in the treatment ofthose ailments which arecurable solely by a re-gime having for its mostimportant element livingin the opeil air. In thetreatment of tuberculo-sis, and Of other affec-tions of the lungs andthroat, it is often adapt-ed to the use of patientswho are unable to secureproper outdoor sleepingarrangements in theirown dwellings.
