English: English cavalry flintlock pistol, circa 1780-1800 flintlock pistol; smoothbore.65 inch calibre; brass fittings; heavy steel lanyard ring mounted in heavy brass buttcap; fully stocked; at rear end of brass trigger guard, fitting broken halfway through screwhole missing- left barrel forestock, armourer's repair full length of barrel, wood missing markings- Belgian proof marks at left rear of barrel maker mark at top rear of barrel, obscured by corrosion on right hand lock plate in oval frame- (lion rampant) (made in Belgium from parts for gun trade; circa 1800s)
