Title
Post Medieval Buckle
Description
English: Post-medieval gilt copper alloy double-looped buckle frame, both loops trapezoidal. The form, with triangular edges and lobes at the ends of the bar and at all four corners, is close to that of Whitehead 2003 no. 521, but the decoration is very different: a row of punched annulets runs around all the front face. There is a groove in the centre of both edges and another, rather more shallow and narrow one in the centre of the bar. Length 39.5mm. Width 25mm. c.1620 - c.1680.

Finder's no. 24, see annotated map in file.
