Post Medieval seal matrix
Description
English: A copper alloy seal matrix. A fob seal type with a trefid handle. The handle has an expanded upper loop with a large circular hole for suspension. The lower, flanking loops have smaller circular holes and, between then, a third small hole. The base of the matrix is oval and carries a design comprising the initials IA in roman letters with an eight pointed star (asterix) above and below.
