Description |
English: Post medieval furniture fitting; cast copper alloy drawer pull/drop handle with rectangular loop (outer edge and sides recessed), narrowed neck, expanded rectangular plate with bifurcated end, curving towards the reverse. The plate is decorated with a slightly raised shield-shaped moulding with three oblique incised lines on each side. Transverse file marks on the loop, diagonal and transverse file marks on the plate (not on the shield). Mid green patina. Length 39.30mm, width of loop 14.33mm, width of bifurcated end 24.38mm, thickness at top of plate 2.27mm, overall thicknses including curved bifurcated end 8.5mm, weight 6.74g.
