isabled soldiers first entered PurdueUniversity to receive rehabilitational training, the need for an or-ganization among them became evident, and to meet this need a socialclub was organized, known as the Federal Hoard Club, with an initialmembership of thirty-eight men. The fall of 11)20 brought rapidly increasing numbers of vocationalstudents to Purdue, so the club was reorganized to accommodate thenew men, and became the Essayon Club. The Oakwood school wasthen in operation and by the end of the school year the newly organ-ized club had enjoyed a steady growth in membership. During thefall of 1921 increasing numbers of students changed conditions and alagging interest made it necessary to reorganize the club and makemembership invitational. The name, Knights of Valor. was adopt-ed and with new and increased interest members of the club have beenable to more effectively promote the best interests of the VeteransBureau Students and uphold the standards of Purdue. y^^^^^^PBBR^fe^^^^^
