Description
English: Pictured is PZ865, a single-engine Second World War Hawker Hurricane fighter operated by the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

It was the last of 14,533 Hurricanes produced and is now flown as an airborne memorial. Named The Last of the Many and first flew at Langley, Buckinghamshire on 22 July 1944.

Instead of being allocated to the RAF, it was retained by its manufacturer, Hawker Aircraft for trials work.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, BBMF, took part in the RAF100 Flypast over Buckingham Palace today. With the Dakota, Lancaster, three Spitfires and two Hurricanes in the formation, the flight passed Buckingham Palace and The Mall just after 1300.

The RAF celebrated its 100th Birthday on 1st April 2018, with a flypast of up o 100 aircraft taking place on 10th July 2018.
