The apparatus, as modified by Reyn, consists in a standwith a transverse arm, holding the lamp and the concen-tration apparatus. The lamp itself is self-regulating, havinga force of 55 volts and 20 amperes, arranged to be run ona direct continuous current of 100 volts. It is movableforward and backward on a sliding bar. It can be m^adeto rotate about its vertical axis, on which it may be alsofastened in a vise.
