This lovely spot on York Road, 23 milesnorth of City Hall, is reached by a line of electric cars, andalso by the Philadelphia & Reading Railway. The latter runsfrequent trains from its city temiinal, most of which make thetrip in 35 minutes. The trolley fare is 10 cents each way; therailroad fare, one way, 30 cents; round-trip excursion, 50 cents. The trolley ride to Willow Grove is of itself extremelyinteresting. Through open cars may be taken on 13thSt., or 8th St., or elsewhere, and these, beyond ColumbiaAve., run along N. Broad St., showing many of the beautiesof that new and wealthy part of the city.
