Two black oxen withwhite spots named Jack andJerry were in the rear yoke,Nick and Tuck, a pair of blueroans, were in the center and theleaders were Bren and Broad, a pair of red roans.I often heard Pa > talk about theoxen used by the Lincolns, Mrs.Ray said.
