SCORPION-FLIES. (B) LIST OF DATES OF COLLECTIONS OF LEPIDOPTERA(IIETEROCERA). The time of appearance of insects in their perfect stage is animportant and essential part of their life-history. It is of specialimportance in the injurious species, in enabling us often to guardagainst the deposit of their eggs, or to destroy the larvae at theirearliest appearance before serious injury has been committed bythem. The following list is from unpublished memoranda made inthe year 1874 of species taken either in Albany or Schenectady,New York.
