Description
English: Copper alloy zoomorphic brooch, bird (duck), flat with three dimensional neck and head, head with (corroded) enamelled dots for eyes, wings close, enamelled panels on wings with traces of black enamel flanking body with alternating squares of red (3) and black (2) enamel, separated from tail by transverse knurled rib, tail with rectangle of black enamel flanked by two triangular cells of red enamel, broken chain-loop at end of tail, Twin lugs with fragment of copper alloy pin and broken catch-plate on reverse, 20 x (at least) 42mm. 2nd Century AD.
