English: Two fragments of a Medieval, silver, shortcross penny of Richard I, Canterbury mint, class 4a. Moneyer Meinir. The coin has been damaged in the ground and these two remaining fragments were found together but as seperate pieces.
The obverse legend has an error, having h instead of R in the word REX. This error is recorded in Mass Plate 32, no. 879. |
