Description
English: An unclipped and incomplete Roman silver siliqua of Jovian (AD 363-364), dating to the period AD 363-364 (Reece period 18). VOT/V/MV• LT/X reverse type. Mint of Arles: -//PCONST

Obverse: D N IOVIAN-VS P F AVG; Pearl diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right.

Reverse: A wreath enclosing VOT/V/MV• LT/X

Diameter: 16.0mm. Weight: 1.63g. DA=12:6-7.

As Hoxne no. 131; RIC VIII, p. 230, no. 332. This type, with dot in the reverse vota legend, is recorded as RIC 332var in the Hoxne catalogue although it may well represent a die variation or die engraver's aid rather than a specific variant issue.
