Description
English: Copper alloy and enamel

Possible Toilet Article terminal, possibly a nail cleaner. Cast cylinder with bead and reel moulding, centrally adorned with a circumferential band of blue enamelled lozenges against a field of red enamel. One end comprises an integrally cast loop of diameter 10.5mm. The other end is flat, but with a basal aperture of diameter 4mm, which appears to have formed a socket for a separate element, now lost. Suggested date: Roman, 40-400.
