Title
Roman zoomorphic brooch
Description
English: Roman copper alloy zoomorphic brooch, 13.92mm long, 10.05mm wide, 1.32 mm thick.

The object is in a fair condition and weighs 0.55 grms. It is a fragment of a plate brooch representing the central part of a hare. The brooch, pointing right, has a total of three empty enamel cells. Starting from the right, the hare retains a small part of its fore leg while its head and ear are entirely missing. The first two cells are fairly complete while only a small section of the third one is preserved. The back-end and the back leg of the hare are missing. The reverse is flat, without any visible trace of the semi circular lug or the catch plate.
