Mayberry, a team leader with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force, briefs his team in a KC-130J Hercules cargo plane on their way from Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti to Entebbe, Uganda, to support potential operations in South Sudan, Dec. 24, 2013. The Marines and Sailors of SP-MAGTF CR are currently postured in both Djibouti and Uganda in order to better respond to threats against U.S. personnel and interests in South Sudan. SP-MAGTF Crisis Response is a self-mobile, self-sustaining force capable of responding to a range of crises to protect both U.S. and partner-nation security interests in the region, while also strengthening partnerships throughout the U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command area of responsibility. |
