"The honeymoon of Mr. and Mrs. Fink was interrupted when the house-boat Stroller, belonging to Mr. Goddard, was held up by a Coast Guard cutter and searched for liquor. Mr. and Mis. Goddard were hosts for the bride and groom aboard the house-boat. The members of the party were released on their own recognizances. Mr. Goddard paid a fine of $500 for the transportation of liquor and charges against other members of the party were dismissed. The house-boat was released when Mr. Goddard gave a bond of $6,000. The threatened confiscation of the house bout will be contested." (Source: Alaska Daily Empire on August 19, 1925)
