English: Don O’Neal, retired Army soldier and drag racer, cleans his dragster during the third annual Salute Our Troops tour in Jacksonville, N.C., Aug. 14. The tour entails Salute Our Troops volunteers traveling across the United States looking to collect donations from local communities for the Fisher House Foundation by selling merchandise and interacting with the local community. Since 1990, the Fisher House Foundation has provided over 5 million nights of lodging to service members, veterans and their families. With every dollar earned during the tour, 96 cents goes directly to the foundation. |
