Description |
English: A body sherd fragment of samian ware, or terra sigilata, pottrey of Roman date. The dark orange-red slip suggests that this may have been produced in either Southern or Central Gaul. samian ware was exported from gaul from teh First to Third centuries AD. The vessel was probably a shallow bowl and has some roulette decoration around it. |
