RIETYFOR GENERAL USE The popularity of this bean has led to theintroduction of several so-called ImprovedGolden Wax beans which have been seatout with the claim that they were superiorto and would soon supplant it in popularfavor. Extended and careful tests haveconvinced us that none of these so-called impxoved strains are superior, and most of thein are quite inferiorto the old original D. M. Ferry & CosGolden Wax, and the many enquiriesfor our old stock is evidence that dis-criminating growers have found ituuequaled by any other. The pods are long, nearly straight, broad, flat, golden vellow. veryfleshy and wax-like, with short, green point, cook-ing quickly as snaps, shelling well when green, and of thehighest quality in both conditions. Beans medium sized, oval, white, more or less covered with two shades of pur-plish red. Pkt. 10c; Pint 15c; Quart 2oc: 4 Quarts 75c; Bushel $5.00 // Beans are icanted by mail or pxpresa prepaid, add 10 ctsper pint, 15 cts. per quart, for charges.

Theyare frequently greenish-yellow when young, but when well grown and fit for use they are of*i beautiful golden wax color, and of good quality. We think this variety the least liable torust of any, and the fact that seedsmen sometimes offer it under other names as absolutelyrust-proof, is evidence that they have found it as nearly rust-proof as any wax bean. Whenpicked at the same time as Golden Wax and other varieties, it keeps bright and crisp longafter the others ar
