English: Members of the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) provide ceremonial support for an award ceremony for Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force Chief of Staff Gen. Eiji Kimizuka, Sept. 27, 2012, at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Va. Gen. Kimizuka received the Legion of Merit (Degree of Commander) from U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Raymond T. Odierno for promoting family welfare through the development a Japan Ground Self-Defense Force family support structure. Gen. Kimizuka also visited with senior military leaders at the Pentagon and laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery, Va. |
