English: U.S. Army Sgt David Rose, a truck driver assigned to the 1055th Transportation Company, South Carolina Army National Guard, guides a Soldier driving an M1088 tractor truck with a load of bottled water that will be distributed to Soldiers, in preparation for the exercise Ardent Sentry held in Varnville, S.C., May 17, 2013. Ardent Sentry is a North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM)-directed exercise focusing on defense support of civil authorities in response to simulated weather, security and disaster contingencies. While Ardent Sentry is primarily a command post exercise, several field training events were conducted at various locations within the USNORTHCOM area of responsibility.
