VIKWS OF VALS T UCHON (Haute Garonne). Altitude 2100 feet.•^^ There are nearly fifty springs varying in tempera-ture from 61 to 150 degrees F. TREATMENT—Internal and external. RECOMMENDED in cases of specific diseases, tuber-culosis, after-effects of grippe, typhoid fever, diphtheria,arthritis, affections of the respiratory organs, nasal ca-tarrh, laryngitis, stomach troubles, nervous diseases, etc. SEASON—From the 1st of June to the 1st of October. Magnificent scenery, beautiful promenades, automo-biles, carriages, horses. Daily concerts and all sorts of attractions. A funicular Railway runs to the Plateau of Superbag-neres where one of the most beautiful panoramas in theworld can be seen. Good hotels. Distance from Paris 615 miles via Paris, Orleans 85Midi Ry. 38

FROM THE SURROUNDINGS OF LUCHON T UXEUIL (Haute Saone) is situated at the foot of the-^ Vosges Mountains, at an altitude of 980 feet. This resort dates its origin back to a monastery foundedby Colomban, an Irish monk, towards the end of thesixth century. A goodly portion of the original monas-tery buildings are still in existence. There are fifteen springs, the property of the FrenchGovernment, the waters containing salt, iron, arsenic andmanganese and are radio-active. TREATMENT—Mainly external. RECOMMENDED in cases of rheumatism, arthritis,anaemia and nervous diseases; womens diseases. SEASON—From the 1st of June to the 15th of Sep-tember. Several hotels, furnished apartment houses, beautifulpark and forests, also casino. Distance from Paris 304 miles via Eastern Railway ofFrance. 40
