A square hut is easierto build than an octag-onal one, and one 10 or12 feet square would ac-commodate quite a clubof boys. Illustration Bin Fig. 7 will give an ideafor a hut of this kind. A SINGLE-TREE HUT. In the spreadingbranches of a large oak-tree a very snug roostcan be made high above the ground, as shown in Fig. 2. This single-treehut is 25 feet above the ground, and below it isa landing from which the rope-ladder is dropped.From this landing to the deck of the hut a stiffladder is made fast both at top and bottom, andan opening in the floor of the deck will allowroom to mount up on the deck near the doorto the hut. As very few trees are alike, it would be difficult to give a plan for the floortimbers among the outspreading branches;but from the illustration shown for the twin-tree hut in Fig. 6, some idea of the construc-
