Aboutten oclock, the boys were ready to start. Theyhad arranged with the owner of a launch to callfor Mrs. Spencer and the girls, then stop at thecamp landing for them, and continue on to Mr.Samuelsons dock, where Storer and Rutledgewere to be picked up. They ran up the signal on a little flagpole atthe end of the landing, and awaited the comingof the launch. I wonder what s happened, Bert said, lookingup and down the lake. He was to call at Mrs.Spencers before ten oclock, then come rightdown here. I dont see a sign of his old scow,and it s ten after ten now. Well, let s hang around awhile and see if heappears, Edgar suggested. He may show up alittle late
