English: Staff Sgt. Nicholas E. Ash, an instructor at the Army Mountain Warfare School, is presented with the 2012 National Guard Bureau Instructor of the Year award by Maj. Gen. Steven Cray, May 22, 2013. Originally in the Army Reserves, Staff Sgt. Ash transferred to the National Guard where he served in positions as infantryman, mountain infantry team leader, then squad leader in his deployment to Afghanistan. Staff Sgt. Ash taught critical and adaptive thinking as part of training procedural tasks. |
