Description |
English: Studies of battleships, including one of the 'Royal Sovereign' class [and a study for PAE0114] The top group appear to be battleships with a 'Royal Sovereign'-class ship nearest. The lower right group are a battleship with two smaller vessels. In both cases the intended location may be Scapa Flow. The group on the lower left appears to be a preliminary sketch from which PAE0014 was worked up, of a destroyer and two boats attempting to rescue men from a capsized ship. Wyllie has added a note by the boats which appears to read '12urCutt', but the intended meaning is unclear. |
