Pleasants blade type- straight, flat back, single fuller each side; double edged at last 6; (chased) foliage patterns to blade; royal cypher (George V) with Tudor crown and coat of arms both sides; six pointed star to shoulder one side - missing brass rivet to centre; English coat of arms with "BY APPOINTMENT" scroll below to other shoulder; maker's mark near hilt guard- nickel plated steel bowl, decorated with scroll design; knot hole near pommel hilt mounts- nickel plated steel; four tiered pommel with foliage decoration; cross hatching to top grip- fish skin bound with silver wire; bulbous to top, thumb groove to base scabbard- rust coloured leather over wood; silver coloured metal mouth with belt loop attachment knot- leather strap with plaited acorn attached to hilt markings- moulded maker's mark to blade flat near hilt- WILKINSON - SWORD - CO LTD - LONDON marks to side of blade- moulded- MADE IN ENGLAND incised- 65146 incised inside guard- N(broad arrow)ZD - 970-35
